POLICING MATTERS MEETINGS
Public meetings and events, branded Policing Matters, supplement Partners and Communities Together (PACT) meetings.
Policing Matters meetings provide people with the opportunity to meet their local Police Command Team, Police Authority Members and Partner Agencies, find out what they are doing for the area and have an opportunity to have their say.
PACT engagement (such as meetings, surgeries, face to face surveys and environmental audits) is very localised and tactical. PACT gives residents the opportunity to meet with their Local Policing Team and partner agencies in order to help identify and agree specific priorities for improving their local neighbourhood over the coming weeks and months and to receive feedback on progress. The priorities agreed may, or may not be related to policing.
In 2011-12 Policing Matters meetings will be held in North and South Worcestershire. As recommended by the Shropshire, Herefordshire and Telford & Wrekin Policing Boards separate police specific public meetings will not be held in these areas as it was not considered the best use of resources.
