Policing Board Chair Asks for Ludlow Residents Views on Policing
Robin Bennett, the Chair of Shropshire Policing Board and a member of West Mercia Police Authority, is asking residents in the Ludlow area to contact him if they have concerns about policing or suggestions to improve policing in their area.
Robin Bennett explained “The Police Authority is the public’s voice in policing and we want to hear their views. Yesterday (27 September 2011) I visited Ludlow and met with Inspector Rob Thomas, who himself is only a few days into his new job running Ludlow’s Police. The purpose of the meeting was to learn about the issues currently affecting local residents, especially issues common throughout Shropshire. For example, anti-social behaviour relating to late-night licences is a problem elsewhere and I wanted to understand the situation in Ludlow town centre.”
